The Nuranang Falls drops down from an altitude of more than 100 meters and originates from northern slopes of the very popular Sela Pass. The actual source is Nuranang River which them forms the waterfalls and then it plunges into Tawang River. It is situated just 2 kilometers from Jang on the road that connects Tawang and Bomdila. This is the reason why it is also known as Jang waterfalls. There are many myths related to this waterfall. A myth associated with the name of the waterfall is that Nuranang falls is named after a local Monpa girl named Nura.
